Since 2010, the CRIS Cancer Foundation has been a beacon of hope in the quest to cure cancer. Its mission is to drive forward research to find solutions to a disease that impacts millions around the world. However, to continue their vital work, they needed to update their way of connecting with people. Thus, they decided to leave behind traditional paper business cards in favor of digital ones.
This shift not only enhances efficiency but also aligns their public image with their mission of research and innovation.
At INNOCard, we firmly believe in the power of collaboration and innovation to make a positive social impact. That’s why, as part of our commitment to support these essential projects, we decided to offer our digital business cards free of charge to all social organizations and foundations.
This initiative not only supports the modernization of their communication but also reinforces our shared commitment to a healthier, more hopeful future.
The traditional process was riddled with inefficiencies: lost time in coordination, long wait times, and potential for errors in each order.
Before making this change, the CRIS Cancer Foundation faced a slow, complicated process each time new cards were needed. Requests came from various departments, turning the task into a logistical puzzle.
Every department had to coordinate, designs had to be created, and then sent to print—an often frustrating and complicated process.
"The switch was seamless," says Raúl, head of administration at CRIS.
Moving to digital cards turned out to be much easier than anticipated. From day one, the CRIS team felt they were in capable hands.
“The biggest challenge was deciding what information to include and how to structure it. But once that was set, the entire process was easy and well-supported.”
The new cards have not only modernized CRIS’s image but have also made the foundation more sustainable.
“I believe we’ve made strides in sustainability,” the team reflected. “Digitization is our way of showing that we are up-to-date and committed to the environment—a factor that undeniably influences cancer rates worldwide.”
By eliminating the need for paper, CRIS has reduced costs and minimized its environmental footprint.
The switch has also allowed employees to manage their contacts more effectively, although there’s still a need to track how frequently the cards are used.
“We’re excited to see how the cards are utilized in different interactions. Although some employees are still adjusting, the feedback has been positive.”
The CRIS Cancer Foundation is ready to forge ahead. Digital business cards have not only streamlined their operations but have given them a modern, responsible image.
“We felt supported every step of the way,” Raúl concludes.
The ability to update contact details in real time and connect more easily has opened new doors for the foundation.
At INNOCard, we’re proud to contribute to this transformation. We believe that by collaborating with social organizations like CRIS, we’re doing our part to give back to society. By simplifying their communications and helping them modernize, we’re supporting their noble mission to research a cure for cancer and contribute to a better world.
With every new digital card, the CRIS Cancer Foundation takes another step toward a future where research and innovation walk hand in hand.
