Grupo PACC, one of Spain’s leading insurance brokerages, has taken a bold step towards modernization by replacing traditional paper business cards with a forward-thinking digital solution.

With decades of experience providing insurance for individuals, businesses, and public entities, Grupo PACC recognized that embracing new technologies was essential to maintaining its leadership position.

We spoke with Eduardo Ortega Cabañas, Director of Franchises and Marketing at Grupo PACC, to explore how this shift has transformed their operations and brand perception.

Before: Manual processes and piles of paper

"In each office, the process was pretty straightforward but tedious: you'd request a new batch of cards, input the details, wait for a final proof to confirm there were no errors, and then they’d get printed and shipped," Eduardo recalls.

Prior to adopting INNOCard, Grupo PACC handled business cards through a centralized provider integrated into their ERP system. The process involved multiple steps—requests, approvals, printing, and distribution to various offices. While functional, the system had its drawbacks.

In an increasingly digital world, many cards ended up gathering dust in drawers or, worse, in the trash:

"At the end of the day, physical cards often ended up in a cardholder or, worse still, in the bin," Eduardo explains. "Nowadays, when someone hands you a business card, most people just save the info on their phone and toss the card."

This reality prompted Grupo PACC to seek a more streamlined, modern solution that better suited their team and their clients.

From cardholders to digital innovation: How it happened

The move to digital business cards wasn’t an overnight transformation. To ease the transition, Grupo PACC adopted a hybrid approach—combining PVC cards with QR codes and fully digital cards.

"We took this approach to make the change more comfortable, especially for employees of all ages," Eduardo explains. "This way, they could still have something physical while adjusting to the digital format."

This strategy made it easier for even the most hesitant employees to adapt.

"New hires don’t even receive physical cards anymore; they go straight to digital," Eduardo adds.

The impact: Efficiency, sustainability, and a modern image

“The last time I met with a supplier, I showed them my digital card. They were impressed when all my information popped up on their phone with just a quick scan—it really made an impact.”

The digital cards have enhanced experiences at trade shows, meetings, and client visits. They’re easy to update, always accessible, and showcase the company’s professionalism and forward-thinking approach.

Implementing INNOCard hasn’t just streamlined internal processes; it’s also made a significant impression externally.

“If someone retires or changes roles, we can update their card in seconds. Before, we’d have to reprint everything.”

Gone are the days of wasted paper and outdated cards.

Sustainability has also become a cornerstone of this initiative.

"People appreciate that we’re not constantly printing cards. Even though we still keep a few physical ones for specific occasions, the change has been overwhelmingly positive."

Looking ahead: A fully digital future

While a small number of employees still use physical cards, Grupo PACC is confident that full digital adoption is just a matter of time.

“As physical cards get lost or worn out, those remaining users will switch too. After all, everyone carries their phone everywhere.”

Grupo PACC’s success with INNOCard highlights that true innovation isn’t just about adopting technology—it’s about strategy and adaptability.

With digital business cards, the company has optimized operations, reduced its environmental footprint, and solidified its reputation as a modern, forward-looking organization.

Grupo PACC is clear about one thing: the future is digital, and they’re leading the way.
